1 New Justices are to be nominated by the President and approved with a simple majority of Council.
2 Eligibility requirements for the role include, and only include
(a) Not having a criminal record,
(b) Not currently serving as President, Vice President, in Council or as a Minister,
(c) Not being the leader or head of a political party, and
(d) Not being the head of a company.
2.1 No bar exam of any kind is required to be eligible for the President’s nomination to be a Justice.
3 This bill does in no way, shape or form apply to Constitutional Court Justices.
