So I'm going to hit you with history trivia facts randomly, and the DIP will have no idea I partly stole their idea (shhhh!) Did you know that for a period of time Vermont was it's own country? From 1777 to 1791 Vermont, at the time the Vermont republic, did not join the early union due to territorial disputes with the state of New York, there were negotiations for them to join Quebec but once the continental congress had a clear advantage against the British negotiations fell through. Eventually the New York dispute was settled and Vermont joined the Union.

me too! I like modern stuff, like 1900’s war history. I dont like war, but I find it a lot more interesting to learn about than deals and politics stuff

As a history nerd I did know that, but it should be noted it wasn't like a REAL REAL country unlike some other state we could mention.
