Even if camel's reasoning was unjust, his logic wasn't. The allowance of porn on a teenager subreddit, predominately made up of minors, is very illegal. Section 1470 of Title 18, United States Code, prohibits any individual from knowingly transferring or attempting to transfer obscene matter using the U.S. mail or any means or facility of interstate or foreign commerce to a minor under 16 years of age. Convicted offenders face fines and imprisonment for up to 10 years. Let's not harbor pedophiles, let's not allow children to be exposed to porn, and actually use reason, instead of hysteria for once in your life.

No one told me what happened there when I asked, but the proposal, to me at the very least, while rather unnecessary, didn’t seem to want to see any explicit materials here, rather trying to limit the appearance of it should that be necessary

Because in a proposal designed to limit the spread of porn, any nuance is immediately removed if you just say no porn, which’d’ve defeated the whole point of drafting a piece of legislature, and allowing it doesn’t necessarily mean that was the only point of the bill? I’m not agreeing with the bill, but the banning was a disproportionate response, if the ban was for teen goonerment, then Camel doesn’t have jurisdiction there anyways, so there were certainly more fair ways to procede.

Limit the spread of porn? rule 7 already exists. This post proposed regulated porn, when rn we have no porn. AKA, it is not to regulate the issue, but to allow it in the first place.
