Full history of VIES!

In this post, I'll go through the full history of VIES, from the creation of VICE, to the split of STAGE, to now!

Creation of VICE:
A long long time ago, I had my own little show. After the reign of Arc and the RDP came to an end, I thought I might try and sweep the stage left behind, take advantage of such a big event. I thought maybe if I missed my chance then, I'd never be able to shine brighter than the heavens in the skies above. So I created VICE, a left-leaning progressive party with a vision of a Bigger, Brighter Future!
The only thing in the way was one party. Our biggest competition, V.E.E.S, the only other party with influence from Hazbin Hotel.
See, V.E.E.S was an old party, one of the oldest. Originally, it's sole head Gaaabe had come up with making it, and used an AI acronym generator to come up with Values of Equality, Emancipation and Solidarity.
VICE and V.E.E.S quickly became rivals, with each one attempting to smear the reputation of the other as much as possible. Eventually, they reconciled, and became friends.
But all good things come to an end, and this one came to an end very quickly. Not even hours after, the leader of V.E.E.S, Gaaabe, had insulted, and attempted to take away our right to our own slogan: "Trust Us"
Naturally, I made a post explaining that that was a rude thing to do, and it was settled. In fact, me and Gaaabe became not just political, but romantic partners!

VIES merger:
Even soon after the beginning of the partnership, there were talks of a merger between the two parties. After about a week, the name was discussed. It was between "The V coalition" and "VIES" I'm sure you can guess which one was the winner.
After the merger, VIES had a rush of popularity. Early members like Tricky, Suki, Spade, and Lurker marker this era, and are all still prominent members of the party.
Soon after though, controversy emerged.

The Party Bill:
The two co-heads of VIES, u/Thatonefrein (me) and u/Gaaabe7, thought that everyone being able to make a party with just a post, and parties being basically nothing much more than groups of people with no real political effect was a pretty big problem. We created the party bill, which would make it so that every party needs at least five members, and required a process approved by the council to be made. This was, to the surprise of the heads, looked *very* down upon, and received a direct veto from president SomWan. Ironically another bill passed that did basically the exact same thing, just requiring three members instead of five.

The DoR controversy:
Not long into the lifespan, not even a month after the creation of VICE, contact was established with a few travelers from the DoR, a rival subreddit of TG. VIES was quick to try and take advantage of this. They even reached out and opened themselves up to the DoR, an action that was looked very much down upon by just about everyone. After that, I myself realized I was rushing *too* fast to the future, which I so desperately wanted to see. After so much controversy in such a short time, I stepped down as co-head until everything settled.

The STAGE breakup:
At the end of the same day I returned to Co-head, Gaaabe came to my DMs to tell me of something he had already done. He told me he wanted to break up. That my luck was through, and we were done. He left with Bari, to make STAGE, a party based on Epic the Musical and Hamilton, being the Defacto party for musicals and theater. This already left me fragile and emotional. So it hit so much harder when Gaaabe began slandering VIES, and me personally. We got into an argument, over a musical, it was that petty, and it still left me crying on the floor of my room. I luckily managed to collect myself, and made quickly put STAGE in its place, with the backing of 80% of the sub.

Modern day: and we come to now! VIES is more popular, bigger, well liked, approved of, and brighter than ever! We have new members joining each day! Second Biggest party, amazing members, My and Tricky couldn't ask for a better party to be the heads of, thank you!

This skipped over a lot of things, and focused on the controversies a lot, I promise we're better than just that.

“and put STAGE in its place” did you organize the downfall of the MTV? (MTV was the rebranded STAGE that fell victim to the census results)

That happened way after. "Putting stage in it's place" referred to intimidating them into backing down. As much as I was mad at Gaaabe at the time, I'm not *that* petty. And besides, no matter what he does, how long he's gone, how much he hurts me, there's still a part of me that cares about him, and it seems like it's never going anywhere

Probably the most controversial party currently also “put STAGE in its place” is crazy work

In the past definitely. But a lot has calmed down over a long period of time. We're doing better than ever after many efforts to improve. Honestly that's the only way I could describe that post, intimidating them into backing off
