No I'm not talking about elections, just about approval polls. I can see people's self esteem be affected by these polls. Anonymity gives people the freedom to mark disapprove/hateful things just out of sheer spite/idk enjoyment at the other's mental disruption? I can see how it made Frein feel, and making things like this anonymous is causing just hurtful dissection of their character. If people do have such a big issue with him, they should be able to claim it openly. As the mental health minister, it truly does bother me. I'm not saying everyone should love Frein, or even like them, but the anonymity is causing more extreme reactions than necessary.

altough I feel why you want this it is good to respect the voters privacy. Maybe in official approval polls and if they want that themselfes? As I would rather have people judge me like they really do rather than being forced to go higher due to having to fill in their name.

OP
I guess, but I feel like it's less of people judging and more of people hating.

While this is necessary after what happened, I think it should be made clear that disagreeing on policies is not equal to not liking the person. You can like someone but dislike their policies
I feel there should be an option to make an anonymous approval poll if the subject of the poll wants one, but I agree with this.

I agree, and I'm fine with people NOT liking Frein, but there has to be a reason, y'know?
but also yes, the person posting should have an option.

I do think it is worth noting (and I say this from experience) requiring a name massively reduces turnout and honesty making the poll wildly inaccurate. People won't speak their minds out of fear of retaliation and whatever the polls say only measures public opinion, having an accurate impression is better than an inaccurate one.

Eh, I don't think so, as their name being public harms the point of these polls. As no one will be honest because of the risk of backlash
My biggest issue wit it is the time frame, bad actors will vote frein lower to harm his chances at election.
Just my 2 cents here

I agree especially because this can help council members to know who to ask to find out how they can improve.
