Considering the current situation, I wish to propose an act to separate the politics of the sub from the people. Some of these probably already exist as part of the existing laws, but I'll still be reiterating them here.

Article 1: No individual may use a protest as an excuse for harassing a person.

Article 1.1: Any protest messages against a regime must use a /rp tone indicator to remind people that it is roleplay.

Article 1.2: If anyone outright bullies a citizen outside of roleplay and the citizen reports them, they will receive a ban without trial if the moderators deem it to have exceeded a limit.

Article 2: No person in power shall be impeached or reprimanded for "inactivity" if there exists a valid IRL reason for said inactivity.

Article 3: There shall be no pressure put on people in positions of power outside of roleplay .

Article 4: Every Monday shall be a symbolic "Unity Day", a national holiday. No political talk will be allowed outside of the Subreddit's Main Page and the council will not have any work.

Article 5: The passed map will be brought into effect immediately an attempt to separate the subreddit from the real world.

You cannot "remove" the schemes and protests from politics, but YOU can ensure that subreddit politics stay in the subreddit. You cannot please everyone in politics, neither in real life nor here, and no one here has "failed" anyone. Don't feel guilty about what is happening. I hope we never have a day like that ever again. The DOR, a "successful" PolSim has seen similar days. I hope you all stay happy. This act was not primarily made to be passed and just to serve as a reminder that we are all human, and we have a real future worth living for.

So, no bills or amendments can be proposed on Mondays?

Can technically be proposed since it comes under the domain of the SMP if I'm not wrong but the council need not discuss the bills on Mondays. I'd suggest not proposing bills except in emergency scenarios on Mondays since it would be counter-intuitive to increase the workload, though I can't make it "illegal" since that might have other consequences.

Define irl reason. and every Monday is way too much, once a month, once every other week, every week is just not rlly realistic to just stop all council work.

Hmm fair. That'd stall the sub.

Still, a unity holiday is a good idea, throw that in another piece of legislation, js less often

EVERY Monday? No way Apart from that, I agree with most of this, but the reason impeachment happens for inactivity is just that an inactive government member is both not able to fulfill their duties and will have the whole TG thing floating around in their mind. It's better for everyone if they're gone, both so that they can be replaced with someone with the ability to contribute and don't have to worry about TG when engaging in, well, real life.

That might just lead to them worrying about getting impeached and not focusing on real life. I was in that position a few years ago in another internet organization and I remember how it turned out to be.

I’d say aye, but only if they fix the fact it’s an insta ban, and if they add you can say “this whole protest is strictly RP” if you wouldn’t minf

I'll probably draft another version then based on the feedback I received.
