I Am Leaving TeenGovernment

This is not because of some new drama (don't ask me anything about that stuff), this is just because I am generally disillusioned with how this government is going. Everyday the presidency becomes more and more popular, and people dislike Council more and more. I know it is a joke, but people are even joking about a cult of personality around Bob. This is how a democracy becomes an authoritarian populist "democracy." Not only this, but I have been generally dissatisfied with how my party, the USF never actually got anywhere. No one talks.  
Also I have been disappointed with how reliant upon the TeenGov Discord we have become. This is less of a government and more of a simple community. People seem to see voting as a chore and are actually more interested in socializing. While this is a good thing, it just isn't what TeenGovernment was founded upon. Politics is no longer the focus, in fact it is outright disliked. This is further proven by the fact that we're staunchly isolationist. People seem to not even want to socialize with other more political polsims. It is sheer irony that a polsim subreddit seems to dislike political disscussion so much. The only thing that is polsim about TeenGovernment is the voting (which is a chore that people need to be reminded about consistently to remember we're even a polsim), parties (which have very unactive discords), and the actual government itself. For a subreddit called TeenGovernment, it seems to just be another small teen subreddit that just so happens to elect leaders. Bills do not actually do much, there is practically 0 rp. We're barely a government, let alone a nation. Without politics, r/TeenGovernment is just "r/Teen"  


This is Farwell. I will still hang out on the TeenGovernment server, but I will be leaving this sub and party discords. USF will probably collapse from inactivity.
